Description:
- Polyisobutylene succinimide is synthesized from highly reactive polyisobutylene (PIB) and maleic anhydride (MA) at high temperatures to form PIBSA, which is then combined with polyamines to form Polyisobutylene succinimide, abbreviated as PIBSI. It can be used as a dispersant in internal combustion engine oils to disperse gums, impurities, and sludge in lubricating oils. Its key characteristic is that it produces no ash after high-temperature combustion and possesses a certain alkalinity to neutralize acids, thus maintaining the cleanliness of the engine interior.
